Although the majority of the photos show lighthouses, there are also photos of maritime buildings, wharfs, and ports. In addition to the photographs, the album contains typewritten documents describing each lighthouse. These descriptions, written in Portuguese, include information such as the longitude and latitude of the structure, the physical description of the area, dates, and specifications about the lights used and the fabrication of the structure. Although the creator of the album is not identified, it is possible that the album was produced by the Departamento Maritimo de Angola.
